Our Summer Party at Chestnuts brought residents, families and the team at Chestnuts Residential Home together for a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, music, delicious food and plenty of happy memories. You can see the fun in our summer party video.
Sunshine, music and fun for everyone
It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy the sunshine in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Our residents took part in fun games and raffles, while live music added to the cheerful summer spirit. There were also plenty of delicious treats and refreshing drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Whether they were joining in the games, tapping along to the music or simply relaxing with a drink and a good chat, every resident could enjoy the afternoon in the way that suited them best. Fresh air, familiar faces and a lively atmosphere can brighten any day, and the sound of laughter was a highlight for many.
Quality time with family and loved ones
It was especially lovely to see our residents spending quality time with their families and loved ones, alongside members of the Chestnuts team and community members. Moments like these help create a strong sense of community and make life at Chestnuts Residential Home feel truly special.
For families, a relaxed event like this is a chance to enjoy time together beyond a usual visit, meet other families and chat with the team who care for their loved ones every day.

Chestnuts is proud to be part of the Weymouth community. Located on Wyke Road, we serve families from Dorchester, Portland, Wareham and across Dorset, with over 35 years’ experience in residential and dementia care. Events like our summer party are a lovely way to welcome neighbours, friends and loved ones into the home.
